CDV

Mathiesen purchased CDV (Spanish acronym), the Veterinary Diagnostic Centre which is one of the most important animal diagnostic and health laboratories. Leader in the veterinary sector, the company has offices in the northern area of Buenos Aires and a laboratory in Pilar where it owns modern facilities with state of the art animal health control systems and biological development. The building in Pilar was constructed under strict international bio-security regulations and has a plant with maximum contention area aimed at work on the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine and a secure animal laboratory.

CDV is a pioneer in the development of double emulsion technology. As of 2000, CDV has been exporting products to different Latin American countries and now, under the direction of the Mathiesen Group, is planning world-wide activities.

ALIMAT

In the city of Buenos Aires the Mathiesen Group has Alimat, an industrial production plant for the manufacture of ingredients and equipped with state of the art technology. The plant complies with all standards required by the food industry. This plant has modern quality control, development and applications laboratories that work together with the company’s clients, collaborating in the development of new products and the improvement of textures and flavours.

The portfolios of ingredients includes:
Original and modified starches – potato, cassava, maize, rice and waxy maize, carragenine, functional milk proteins, air entraining admixtures, technological thickening systems, gelling agents, emulsions, heat resistant and heat reversing agents, and natural fat concentrates.
